Govt: Term ‘creative lack of clarity’ describes how extension was achieved

The Ministry of Finance issued a statement in order to clarify Yanis Varoufaki’s statement regarding the decision of Eurogroup and Greece’s reform list

Following a cascade of criticism over FinMin Yanis Varoufakis latest attention-grabbing quip about a “creative lack of clarity” to describe a list of reforms submitted by Greece to its Eurogroup partners as a prerequisite to gain a loan extension agreement, the ministry of finance issued a statement.

“The term creative lack of clarity clearly defines the spirit of Eurogroup to decide on making a deal and extending the loan contract by four months based on the preliminary list of reforms drafted by the Greek government with the contribution of partners and institutions,” was the official response.
