The German Journalists Association (Verband der Journalisten der DDR, abbreviated VDJ) and many an Internet users are in uproar against German tabloid Bild’s unprovoked anti-Greek campaign.
Bild asked its readers to take selfies saying “Nein” to a request of extending the loan agreement, a day before it is voted on by the Bundestag, and to send the photos through an e-mail.
The VDJ charged that Bild’s campaign is beyond any form of civilized debate, even the one expressed by tabloids, while it stresses that Bild is blaming a whole nation for the mistakes of their politicians.
Another… interesting reaction came from an Internet user who posted a selfie on the tabloid’s Twitter account, which – according to the “Guardian”- said “Nein to any more 0.80 euros for a Bild paper”.
