Greece’s Secretary General for International Economic Relations Giorgos Tsipras signed an important energy agreement with the Boliviarian Republic of Venezuela in Caracas Saturday. During the official signing of the memorandum of understanding, Tsipras underlined the significance of the deal in strengthening cooperation between the two peoples. The sealing off of the collaboration caps off a 5-day formal visit by the Greek delegation to Venezuela, during which Tsipras had the opportunity to meet with high-ranking Venezuelan state officials, including Venezuelan Foreign Minister Desly Rodriguez and Minister for Popular Power for Oil and Mining Asdrubal Chavez, cousin of the late President Hugo Chavez.
