The Bank of Greece announced on Monday that the central government’s cash balance recorded a deficit of €684 million in January-February 2015, compared to a surplus of €139 million in the corresponding period in 2014.
During the first two monts of the year, nominal budget revenue totalled 6.735 billion euros, compared to 7.95 billion euros in the corresponding period of last year.
Revenue of €55 million regarding Securities Markets Programme (SMP) transfers from the Bank of Greece is excluded. Ordinary budget expenditure amounted to 7.677 βillion, down from 8.630 billion in January-February 2014.
