Greek Defence Minister Panos Kammenos labeled Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan a ruthless dictator in an interview on Greek radio. “When they threaten our country we shall respond and they should know that we are not prepared to back down on matters of national sovereignty in the name of diplomacy”, Kammenos underlined. Commenting about the Turkish provocations against Greece on Real-FM radio station, the Defence Minister reassured people that the Greek armed forces had the highest morale the utmost professionalism. He added that the Greek army units were undergoing a period of reorganisation and were ready to face any challenge. He stressed that Turkey was provoking on a rhetorical level at this stage, warning that whenever this rhetoric turned into into territorial violations the threats were immediately dealt with.
