A Greek docker was taken to hospital after two British NATO sailors assaulted him. The attack happened in the port of Piraeus, when two sailors from the UK military ship Carocan Bay London, which is part of the NATO fleet patrolling the Aegean Sea for refugees, attacked and injured docker Sp. Mesinis, who was transferred to Tzanio Hospital. The Greek Communist party (KKE) reacted through Piraeus MP D. Manolakou who contacted Maritime Minister T. Dritsas expressing her party’s protest over the unacceptable incident. The reasons for the assault are so far unclear.
