Greek PM has phone contact with French President and ECB Chief

SYRIZA PM A. Tsipras is doing all he can to promote Greece’s interests abroad

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras had telephone contact with European Central Bank (ECB) President Mario Draghi and French President Francois Hollande on Saturday.

In his telephone conversation with Draghi, Tsipras said that he respects the independence of the ECB that should not bow to political pressures but noted that the Bank should also look at Greece independently.

In his conversation with Hollande, Tsipras agreed to extend collaboration and have bilateral meetings between finance ministers of both countries in Paris and Athens.
