IMF Director Christine Lagarde was positive to the prospect of the summer Olympic Games being held in Greece on a permanent basis. The idea was tabled by Vice President of the Aspen Institute during a round table discussion on the state of the Greek economy and the problems facing the Rio2016 Olympics at the moment. ‘I believe it is a good idea that is out of the box. If this could generate demand, something the economy needs, that would be excellent’, said Lagarde.
