Italian FinMin says Greek plan should be balanced

Talks on better integration in EU necessary says Padoan

Italian Finance Minister Pier Carlo Padoan said that the Greek bailout program must strike a balance between viable measures for public finances and measures that boost growth and job creation. Padoan was commenting on the decision by the ESM to agree on the loan to Greece on principle.

“We enter into a new phase with this decision”, said the Italian politician. He underlined that the talks with Greece on the ESM loan will be very critical and should take into account past experiences. He added that a serious talk is needed to conclude on the correct measures and actions needed to support the integration within the Eurozone.
