Juncker : The Troika insulted Greece’s dignity

“Ministers deserve to confer with their counterparts and not with employees”, says Juncker

In his statements during a meeting of the European Economic and Social Committee of the European Parliament, EC President Jean Claude Juncker stressed that the Troika insulted Greece’s dignity, while he described it as “undemocratic” and further noted that that “mistakes were made”.

Furthermore, Jean Claude Juncker mentioned along with his moral support to the Greek people, that the Troika lacks the necessary ”democratic legalization”.

“The Troika insulted Greece’s dignity. Ministers deserve to confer with their counterparts and not with employees”, stated the EC President.

Finally, Jean Claude Juncker stressed that he expects of the International Monetary Fund, the European Central Bank and the Commission to continue their work and added that the European Commission will examine the issue of Troika “when the time is right.”
