Newly elected French President Emmanuel Macron told Greek PM Alexis Tsipras that he hoped the Greek debt would fall over time, according to Reuters news agency. The two leaders had a phone contact hours before the crucial EuroGroup meeting, as a source from the French Presidency’s office said, adding that French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire would back a debt relief in the EuroGroup meeting on Monday.
