“I am not interested at all in national unity government scenario” candidate for New Democracy leadership Vangelis Meimarakis said during a press conference held in Thessaloniki.

“If Tsipras doesn’t make it, he must resign” Mr. Meimarakis said adding that New Democracy ” will not vote for the measures of social security system not because we suddenly are against memorandum but because these measures promote recession.”

As for New Democracy, he stressed that it is the party of people and does not belong to anyone adding that the person to be elected for ND’s leader will be  first among equals.
