German Chancellor Angela Merkel warned that the EU should stop any other member state from leaving the union. Merkel urged for immediate action on the part of the EU, during a speech at the Christian Democrats (CDU) party. The German Chancellor pointed out that the markets were extremely volatile, adding that the EU could no longer be managed. She stressed that the remaining 27 countries in the EU would have to pull together and decide on how to move forward after the departure of Britain from the bloc.
