‘National No Bra Day’ against cancer (photos)

Day to raise awareness on cancer care and sumptoms

The origins of “National Bra Day” remain unclear, but the message it has been conveying since its inception in 2011 is an important one, as it tries to raise awareness about breast cancer screening, the recognition of symptoms and regular self examinations in the fight against the deadly disease. Women across the world are urged to leave their bras at home on October 13 to help in the cause, while the whole of the month of October has been devoted to advocating in the battle against cancer, with October 14 dubbed “Big Pink”, an event encouraging people to organise happenings and wear pink to raise money and awareness for breast cancer a care.
