Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras asked to postpone the debate on the latest developments concerning justice and the government’s policies in this area which was due to start in the plenary of the parliament on Tuesday.
According to government sources, Mr. Tsipras decided to postpone the scheduled debate due to the terror attacks occurred on Thursday in Brussels. Mr. Tsipras called the leader of main opposition party New Democracy Kyriakos Mitsotakis to inform him about his decision.
The debate is expected to take place next week on Monday 28.
Mr. Tsipras had asked for this debate in a letter to the president of the Parliament Nikos Voutsis, because as he said the public opinion has been lately poisoned by groundless complaints concerning the government policy on justice.
