Police search for sexual predator in Marousi, Athens

Police believe he will strike again

Greek police have unleashed a manhunt for a 35 year old sexual predator in the area of Marousi, in the northeastern part of Athens. The man, who is described by police as well-built and light-skinned, has made sexual advances against 3 women at the same spot within the vicinity of the ‘Ygeia’ Hospital in Marousi.

According to victims’ reports the suspect first ‘struck’ last week, while he made two advances against women on May 23. On all occasions the victims were able to make the man flee after they physically resisted his attacks. Police believe the man is either a resident in the area, or has a hidden vehicle, as his disappears immediately after his attacks. He is believed to wear prescription glasses, while no women have heard his accent so far, making it difficult for police to determine whether he is Greek or a foreigner.
