A powerful explosion has been occurred outside a mosque in the city of Nazran, southern Russia injuring at least two people.

The explosion was caused by an explosive device placed in car parked near the mosque.

“A private car parked near the mosque was blown up,” a security forces source told RIA Novosti, adding that at least two people were injured.

The blast occurred in the afternoon, when Friday prayers were taking place at the mosque.
