Just a few hours ahead of a critical Eurogroup meeting on Monday, where the Eurozone finance ministers will be called to decide Greece’s access to funding in the wake of the bailout deal’s expiration, a wave of solidarity swept the continent’s square.
Thousands of people gathered in many European cities to express their support for the new Greek government and protest against austerity.
From London and Brussels to Helsinki, Lisbon, Paris and Rome (where a large rally was also held yesterday in solidarity with Athens) several thousand European citizens are taking to the streets for the third time in a few days.
