Hellenic National Meteorological Service announced that from Sunday snowfall and heavy rainfalls should be expected across Greece.

The General Secretariat for Civil Protection of Greece advises citizens to be especially careful and take the necessary measures to protect themselves from the severe weather phenomena.

On Sunday snowfall is expected in northern Greece, while heavy rainfalls are expected in the North Ionian Sea and Epirus, and then in Western Greece and the Peloponnese which will gradually move to the rest of Greece.

Strong winds are also forecast with wind velocity reaching up to 9 Beaufort in the Aegean Sea.
