Shock in Mani over double homicide of bodybuilders

The two 18-year-olds confessed that they killed the two men over money differences following an 800-euro downpayment for steroids that were never delivered

Details of the double homicide that led to the killing of 26-year-old Constantinos Sgouros and 25-year-old Yiannis Kommatis have shocked the local community. The two men were found in a ravine in Western Mani in the Peloponnese on Wednesday after a botched-up steroids deal. The two perpetrators of the crime are two 18-year-olds – Panayiotis Mitsos and Nikos Moschandreou – who were were motivated by their failure to procure steroids after allegedly paying 800 euros to Sgouros. 

A coroner found that the two victims were tortured before being killed being forced to kneel in a dance of seven bullets. Initially they were shot at the feet. Both victims’ bodies had bullet wounds in the back, indicating that they had been shot at close range.

The two perpetrators met the Messinia prosecutor yesterday and gave more details regarding the murder. They were charged with homicide and will meet with authorities again on Monday. Both the perpetrators were charged with intented homicide and drug charges were also made when cannabis was found at one of the young men’s homes.

Both victims were avid bodybuilders and their bodies had swastika tattoos and mafia symbols.
