Shocking images: Extreme body piercing trend tests body’s pain limits

Fans claim this extreme practice gives them a huge sense of well-being (Warning: Graphic content)

Newsroom June 10 12:20

People in Croatia are testing their body’s pain limits through an extreme new form of body piercing.

Dino Helvida, a professional piercer and body suspension expert from Bosnia Herzegovina, pierces his client Kaitlin’s torso, legs and face and then puts hooks through her skin to suspend her from a metallic frame. Then, her body is left dangling horizontally in the air.

The process is carefully done: first piercing the skin with needles, putting through metallic hooks and then attaching these hooks to a thin rope so as to lift the person off the ground, as Daily Mail mentions.

Kaitlin visited Zagreb from the United States to enjoy the suspension experience, while fans claim this extreme practice gives them a huge sense of well-being.

How long a person remains suspended varies, depending on their position and how they feel.

‘Some people stay for four, five hours, some people need only three seconds,’ Helvida told Reuters.
