Far Left faction letter of dissent

The dissenting faction within the ruling SYRIZA party, led by Minster Panagiotis Lafazanis, has spelled out its disagreements with the government proposals to creditors, in a letter revealed Friday.

The letter, which can be seen below, besides Lafazanis has the signatures of MPs Costas Lapavitsas and Thanasis Petrakos, as well as political secretariat members Stathis Leotsakos,  Antonis Davanelos and Sophi Papadogianni, who called on PM Alexis Tsipras to not yield to the “blackmail” of the creditors.

They are critical of Tsipras because, as they argue, he had not prepared an “alternative plan” in the event of Grexit. The letter calls on the Greek PM to implement a “bridge-program” to prepare the country to adopt a national currency. Even though they disagree with the handling of negotiations by Tsipras, reports say they will approve the proposal, as tabled in Parliament.
