The Greek Communist Party (KKE) issued a message for the New Year that was addressed to the workers of Greece as well as the unemployed, self-employed, poor farmers, youth and other vulnerable groups and party supporters.
The party message stated the party’s intent to make people “protagonists in developments so that a new day with real prosperity for the people and children would dawn.”
In its message the KKE pledged to help people overcome difficulties as well as put an end to the blackmailing dilemmas that are put before the people of Greece. The party said it would do all in its power to take a significant step towards popular alliance, dynamic opposition and strengthening the struggle for a total reversal.
