Thomas Cook has added the Greek island of Thassos to its 2016 programme with two flights a week departing on Thomas Cook Airlines every Friday from London Gatwick and Manchester.

“Thassos has everything you would want for a peaceful holiday in a naturally beautiful environment; golden sandy beaches, traditional villages and incredible vistas”, the travel company said in an announcement.

With stretches of fine golden-sands and a rich history, a holiday to Thassos is perfect for those looking to explore authentic Greece, says its website adding that tourists should expect a landscape of lush, green forests and olive groves.
