Children among those injured

Four people were killed, a 5-year old girl among them, and 17 more injured when a speed boat rammed a tourist boat near the Greek island of Aegina, Tuesday. The reasons that lead to the fatal accident have not become clear yet. According to information, the tourist boat was carrying about 20 people to the small island of Moni. Many of those on board the boat were children. Private boats are involved in rescue operations of the tourists sea, as coast guard boats are expected to arrive on the scene. An eyewitness told Protothema.gr the speed boat ‘cut the tourist vessel in half’, while a businessman from the area of Perdika said he saw at least one man in his 60s dead and a child among those injured.
