Greek Defence Minister Kammenos says coutry will not allow one inch of national territory to be violated

Newsroom March 13 09:23

Turkey continued its provocative stance against Greece, when two Turkish CN-235 reconnaissance aircraft and two F-16 fighter jets violated Greek airspace a total of 20 times on Monday. The violations took place over the northeastern, central and southeastern regions of the Aegean Sea, while there were also 4 infringements of the Athens FIR. The Greek air-force intercepted the Turkish aircraft in accordance to international rules of engagement. Meanwhile, Greek Defence Minister Panos Kammenos sent a clear message to Turkey from Samothrace vowing that Greece would not concede a single inch of national territory. Mr. Kammenos accused Turkey of displaying a provocative behaviour towards not only Greece but EU allies as well.
