Parnassos Ski Center is celebrating World Snow Day on January 18 by offering a week of fun in the snow with special events and discount rates. The events kicked off on January 12 and run through to January 18. Schools from around Greece have already been invited to the snow at the center in order to take advantage of the offer that allows free entry for all kids under 15. Children throughout the week will be offered free equipment to participate in ski lessons at discount rates.
Events crescendo towards the weekend with a series of competitions, sleigh rides and nightly routes down the mountain from January 17-18. The events are courtesy of the Greek Hiking Association of Athens (EOSA) and the Pappos Baldoumis Ski and Snowboard School.
From Monday, January 12, through to Friday, January 16
Free ski and snowboard equipment and discount ski lessons for all children from 10 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. and from 1 p.m. to 2.30 p.m.

* Full-day ski (8 a.m. to 8 p.m.)
* Freestyle ski
* Snowboarding show
* Ski baton race
* Giant Slalom
* Sleigh rides for the whole family
* The creation of the world’s largest snowman (estimated at around 4 meters)
