11 killed in double terrorist attack in Iraq gas plant

At 11 people were killed and 21 injured in a suicide bomb attack at a state-owned LPG plant in the northern suburbs of Bagdad, according to Iraqi police sources. The attacks took place in two stages, with the initial assault involving a car bomb that went off near the main gate of the factory in the morning. Following this attack 6 suicide bombers strapped with explosives entered the facility and exchanged fire with security forces before detonating their belts. A representative of the security forces said three parking lots in the compound went up in flames before police were finally able to control the situation. No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks. Nearly 100 people have lost their lives in terrorist attacks carried out by the Islamic State (IS-Daesh) the past week.
