Santorini is the “star” of the “Beijing love story” film currently playing in the cinemas in China and has become a hit! Most of the shooting was held last summer on the Aegean island showcasing idyllic and unique beauties. The film is expected to be shown soon in USA, too.

The “Beijing love story” is the transfer of the most popular Chinese television series to the big screen. The scenario involves a married couple from Beijing trying to reignite its love by traveling to Santorini, while the casting includes the most poplular movie stars in China, such as Tony Leung and Carina Lau.

It is estimated that about 2.5 million Chinese watched the film on the first screening.

However, the “Beijing love story” is not the only Chinese film shot at Santorini. The “One and a Half Summer” movie was also shot in the beautiful island and will be screened soon in China’s cinemas.
