From 3rd of May onwards

Newsroom April 30 06:05

Shortly before entering the summer period, i.e., the one which records the largest tourist wave for our country, British Airways launches two new direct flights to Thessaloniki and the Cyclades.

Specifically, the British airline, from May 3rd will add to its scheduled flights, flights to Mykonos and Santorini from Heathrow Airport, while adding another to Thessaloniki, from Gatwick Airport.

Flights to Mykonos will be held on Tuesdays and Saturdays, while those to Santorini on Wednesdays and Sundays. Regarding links to Thessaloniki, the scheduled flights will be 4 within a week. The new lines will be served by type A320 aircraft, which will feature Club Europe and Euro Traveller cabins.

The move by the British company to add new nonstop flights to Greece suggests the high demand of the English to visit our country, and the increase in tourism since access to both the island and mainland Greece becomes easier.

“Mykonos and Santorini are extremely popular destinations both for British travelers and tour operators. These flights will meet the needs of passengers who want a scheduled flight with the full quality and service and will result in the increase of tourists visiting Greece. At the same time, the link between Thessaloniki and London will serve the constant needs of the two cities which are increasing over time. Our presence in Greece now spans four cities and 30 weekly flights, characteristically in response to the travelling public on quality and innovative products and services that British Airways can provide”, stated the managing director of British Airways in Greece.
