More than 100 people have been sickened with food poisoning at a national food safety summit in Baltimore USA, attended by the elite of American physicians.
According to U.S. network “NBC News”, after the first break of the conference, several attendees began complaining of unbearable stomach pains.
These were followed by more severe symptoms such as vomiting and diarrhea.
According to reports of the local media, the attendees started leaving the conference venue one by one, causing the organizers to suspect that something was wrong with the food that was being served.
I should be noted that the conference was attended by a total of 1,300 American food safety professionals and officials from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
According to the “NBC News”, the health authorities of Maryland announced that laboratory tests are being conducted on samples of food consumed at the conference to identify the strain that caused the poisoning.
