Development Minister Mr Chatzidakis briefed Prime Minister Antonis Samaras on the new National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF) which was approved third among 28 EU member states.
Mr. Chatzidakis said the government will focus on actions that will support entrepreneurship as well as the efforts to cope with the social consequences of the crisis.
He also said there was an agreement with the European Commission so that the actions related to the training and employment of the youth, the setting up of businesses by young unemployed, the fighting of poverty and the programme for houses’ energy upgrade will proceed at a faster pace in 2014.
“A special group will be set up in ministries to ‘run’ these actions and we are making efforts so that the NSRF will be a catalyst for the growth we need and we will accomplish in 2015,” Chatzidakis noted.
