Without any official explanation by the International Monetary Fund, the report of the IMF on the 5th assessment of Greek program was not announced as it was expected.

According to yesterday’s announcement by the IMF, via email, the report would be sent yesterday at around 6pm (at 1am local time), but it would be announced at 12 at noon (today 7pm local time).

Meanwhile, one hour earlier (at 6 pm local time) a briefing was scheduled by Mr. Thomsen about his report via telephone.

According to information, the announcement of the report has been postponed and the representative of the Fund, Jerry Rice, is expected to give explanations during the Press Conference.

However, the delay seems to be related to the pending government reshuffle. A source stated at mignatiou.com: “The IMF officials work closely and well with the competent ministers, and would prefer not to see any changes, especially as far as the Finance Minister is concerned. Nevertheless, they do not want to intervene to the internal affairs of Greece,”.

However, the Fund’s Board discussed last Friday the report written by Thomsen and decided to disburse 3.41 billion euros to Greece.
