Iraq sends children to fight in order to strengthen their forehead against Islamist insurgents, who kill and terrorize the area and threaten to conquer Baghdad.

Photos published show young children in Baghdad and Basrah holding guns in their hands next to soldiers, while the Prime Minister announced that the government will grant military equipment to those citizens who want to fight.

However, Islamist insurgents recruit children, too and have also posted a photo on Twitter showing a small child holding a gun and wearing a mask covering his face while holding also a sign that says “God is great”.

Meanwhile, according to information from international media, over half a million of people-mostly women and children-have left Mosul seeking protection and shelter to Erbil, Iraqi Kurdistan, an area which strives to accommodate the 220,000 Syrian refugees who arrived there to escape from the civil war occurred in their country.
