About 150-200 fans of Greek national team welcomed the team that returned from Brazil, including parents with young children.

The football players were deeply moved by this and signed autographs giving joy to many young children, who rushed to be photographed with their idols.

“We want to thank all those who came here and all Greeks. Unfortunately, we could not give them more joy. But, we are proud and we thank the world that recognizes our efforts” Kostas Katsouranis said.

“I also want to thank everybody for this great welcome” Fanis Gekas said.

“The football players gave so much joy to Greece. I hope the team will continue succeeding in other events, too. The team achieved its goal and now we will prepare for the Euro trial” Takis Fyssas said.

Fernando Santos did not come back to Greece with the team as he returned to Portugal.
