We need to radically change our relationship with the troika, said Evangelos Venizelos, PASOK president, during his introductory statement at the meeting of the Central Political Committee of the Party.
He stressed that it is very important to stop the image of a troika that remains in the country for days on end, and added that the country now needs its own national recovery plan, however, there is none without consensus, political stability, continued surpluses on the level of allowing the restoration of injustices, without labor peace, without the new development model, common sense or realism.
“No, there will be no new memorandum, there will be no new measures, there will be no new troika…We have changed our phase, we emerge from the crisis and the Memorandum, changing our relationship with the troika, our sacrifices are working”, said Venizelos. He also accused the main opposition party president Alexis Tsipras that he “Accepts the strange theory that the Greek banking system’s main problem was the debt haircut”.
