Shortly after the official announcements were made, member of PASOK Ms Afroditi Al Saleh  posted on her personal facebook account that: “Now that Plevris entered the Parliament it is the right time to vote in favor of extending the civil partnership institution and the antiracist law. There is not a greater delight in seeing them vote against their own ideology.’’

Mr. Georgiadis, nevertheless, was more than welcoming referring to the new duties of Mr. Avramopoulos as well as Mr. Plevris’ parliamentary entry. ‘’ I extend my best wishes to Mr. Avrammopoulos upon his assuming a crucial position, and I also welcome Mr. Plevris back to the parliament.’’
At the same time, through a long twitter post, former minister Mr Voulgarakis expresses his approbation regarding the selection of Mr. Avramopoulos.

‘’ It is certainly a choice of utmost convenience! It is in the country’s advantage to have Mr. Avramopoulos as the new Commissioner, as he is a seasoned politician with a deep diplomatic background. It is also facilitating for New Democracy, since it will assume a European official post for the five following years. It is also convenient to the politicians of the First District of Athens, as a surely taken seat is now vacant. It is further accommodating for Mr Avramopoulos himself, as his political profile is now even more well rounded. It is even convenient for Mr. Samaras, in case New Democracy doesn’t do well in the ne3xt election, as it invalidates a strong and unified candidacy Everybody’s happy then!!’’ he marked.
