The German newspaper “Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung” refers to a third Greek aid package, but it will be named differently and analyzes the visit of President-elect of the European Commission in Greece and the messages he brought towards all directions.
According to “Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung”, Juncker, who as the chairman of the Eurogroup managed to save Greece from delaying in the payment of debts – at least temporarily – referred to the great efforts of Greek government and warned that austerity period has not ended yet.
“The Greek government hopes to receive a third aid package which will have a different name using euphemisms, such as ‘extension of the repayment of the billions received from the eurozone countries and reduction of interest rates’. Most economists agree that Greece will not be able to long-term balance its budget without receiving a third aid package, no matter how they will call it” the newspaper stressed.
