The church of St. George in Amaranto at Ioannina became the target and victim of sacrilegious.

According to the police unknown broke into the window of the church and the chapel and eventually grabbed a silver image, a gold embroidered tapestry, a silver cross and a metal box.

However the burglars also targeted the Folklore Museum in the region from which they removed twenty rings, a female gold embroidered belt as well as a silver plated tray powder (cartridge belt).
