Deputy Education and Religion Minister Constantinos Koukodimos resigned from his post claiming personal reasons.

In his letter, Mr. Koukoudimos explains “personal and only personal reasons forced me to sumbit my resignation from the position of Deputy Education and Religion Minister.”

He also clarified that he would continue to support Prime Minister Antonis Samaras and the governmental work of New Democracy.

Minister of Education Andreas Loverdos commented on the resignation of Mr. Koukodimos on Facebook: “Kostas Koukodimos resigned for personal reasons. I lost a valuable political partner especially in school sports. When we swore, the President of Hellenic Republic told him: “Pay great attention to school sports”. I depend on Kostas helping me from his position as member of parliament.”
