Equity prices were rising on Friday on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE), with the basic share price index up 0.89%, standing at 1,191.93 points at 11:00 am, and turnover at 16.125 million euros.
The FTSE/ASE Large Cap index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was up 0.87%, while the FTSE/ASE Mid Cap index was up 0.60%.
All individual sector indices noted a rise. The biggest gains were in the sectors of Chemicals (+2.28%), Telecoms (+1.73%), Utilities (+1.20%) and Commerce (+1.11%).
Of the stocks traded, 48 were up, 9 were down and 5 were unchanged.
