The good news regarding the outcome of the meeting on the Greek debt between the Greek delegation and the Troika in Paris were announced to Prime Minister in Cardiff, where he travelled on Tuesday in order to attend the two-day NATO Summit in Wales.
A government source told protothema.gr that the next meeting on the sustainability of Greek debt will take place on November 14-15 in Washington. However, it has not been decided yet who will participate in this meeting, whether it will be only government officials or several interested parties.
According to sources, the Greek government is satisfied with the outcome of the meeting in Paris, which it views as a positive step forward.
During his speech at the opening ceremony of the Thessaloniki International Fair on Saturday, Prime Minister Antonis is expected to announce a reduction to a consumption tax on heating oil and a cut in a solidarity levy on income.
The Prime Minister’s statements regarding the roadmap to future tax cuts for individuals and businesses are expected to be more vague, as the Government’s plans for the reduction of taxation depend on the solution to be reached for the issue of the Greek debt.
