The former Emir of Qatar Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani hasn’t been a stranger to Greece this summer and has been hard to miss thanks to his impressive superyacht, Katara, floating around the Ionian islands. This time the 62-year-old croesus chose the Aegean as a port of call and arrived at Psarou Beach, Mykonos to enjoy a swim with his friends. The emir kindly requested that photographers refrain from taking pictures but those present couldn’t help taking footage of his superyacht – one of the world’s largest yachts that cost $900 million.
* The Greek translation of Katara is “curse”, something that hasn’t gone unnoticed by the locals who can only wish that such a “curse” could befall them.
