The remaining 17 Ministers who participating in Eurogroup’s informal meeting in Milan, had put pressure to Greece and to the Minister of Finance Mr. Gikas Hardouvelis, to implement all commitments which are deriving from the memoranda.
The members, also asked form the Greek Minister for all the memorandum related commitments to be fulfilled by January.
Further, with great emphasis the Finance Ministers of Eurogroup have asked from the Greek delegation to fullfill by the end of January 2015 all commitments of the Greek program which ends on December 2014.
According to information of the Ministry of Finance, Troika will return to Greece in the end of September, while from the lenders side the one to leading the talks will be Paul Thomsen.
In today’s Eurogroup meeting, according to reliable sources, the Greek Minister of Finance Mr. Gikas Hardouvelis intervened when needed during the discussion in order to make some corrections. Addressing his 17 colleagues and having stated that Greece is one of the first countries in the OECD’s board with the “pioneers “in the implementation of reforms, Mr. Hardouvelis noted that in order to adopt structural change” society’s support is much needed, and that would happen only as long as people see a rise in their standard of living “.
Finally, according to the same sources, the Greek Minister of Finance highlighted that the reforms should be equally important to achieve as the other investments and citizens improved living standards as well.
