The Greek Finance Minister Gikas Hardouvelis met the president of the European Central Bank Mario Draghi in Milan and discussed about the plans for economic recovery, liquidity and the end of memorandum period in Greece.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the speech of ECB president, one day before the Eurogroup council which will be held in Milan in the framework of the Italian presidency of EU.
During their meeting, they mainly talked about stress tests, “red loans” and consolidation plan of Greek banks as a condition for Greece to receive increased liquidity from the ECB. Also, according to information, other issues discussed were the relaxation of austerity policy and the recovery of the European economy, as well as the end of memorandum period in Greece.
