Alpha Bank announced the signing of a cooperation agreement with the largest card issuer in the world, China UnionPay (CUP).

China UnionPay owns more than 4.2 billion payment cards, which are accepted in more than 140 countries worldwide.

The cooperation agreement includes the acceptance of UnionPay cards by all POS terminals of the enterprises which cooperate with Alpha Bank, as well as Alpha Bank’s ATM.

As stated in the announcement, by accepting UnionPay cards the enterprises in cooperation with Alpha Bank will be able to expand their turnover and customer base.
