Lamda Development speaks to Bloomberg about Greek economy

He stated that Lamda Development and all investors were ready and hoped to begin the construction works at the beginning of 2016

Odysseus Athanassiou, CEO of Lamda Development, spoke to Bloomberg and stressed that “if SYRIZA comes to power, it will act for the benefit of Greece” clarifying that probably there would be some delays until Greece finds its pace, but “the pace will be towards the positive direction”.

Asked about the Helliniko project, Mr. Athanasiou said that was a huge project, an investment of 8 billion euros, which would upgrade Greece, since it would become a great tourist destination and that it had already attracted many investors.

He stated that Lamda Development and all investors were ready and hoped to begin the construction works at the beginning of 2016, since Greek public administration had already delayed the procedures.

Commenting on the investment interest towards Greece, he said that there was a high investment interest for Greece which was even much bigger than the one towards western European countries, such as Germany.
