Minister of Health while speaking to “Vima fm” left open the possibility of early elections. More specifically Mr. Makis Voridis stated that: ” The debate for the new President of the Republic will begin in January. Due to the fact that as stands today the necessary 180 MP’s have not expressed any desire on electing a specific person as the new President of Republic and since also 120 MPs’ have not expressed the desire that they do not wish to vote any President, all that concludes that the matter of early elections is still open”. However, the Minister of Health highlighted his optimism on the issue, that at the end the Parliament will manage to elect a President.
He continue by stating that: ” If someone wants to discuss the possibility of early elections, now is the time, since the government has asked for confidence vote”.
Mr. Voridis also referred to SYRIZA by saying that its strategy is a trap, while he further commented on the negotiation course with Troika:” I met with the team of Troika. We exchanged views and we are waiting for the final revies. The discussion went extremely well.
