Athens Stock Exchange opening: Moderate rise

40 of the stocks traded went up, 12 went down and 8 remained unchanged

Equity prices went up on Monday on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE), whereas the basic share price index rose by 0.86%, standing at 1,058.73 points at 11:00 am. The turnover was at 8.265 million euros.

The FTSE/ASE Large Cap index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks went up 0.86% and the FTSE/ASE Mid Cap index went also up 0.71%.

On individual sector indices, the biggest gains were recorded in Telecoms (+2.21%), Oil (+1.58%), Financials (+1.16%) while the biggest losses were recorded in Food & Beverages (-1.05%) and Construction (-0.07%).
