During his speech at the 15th Conference on the Development and Utilization of Real Estate Property (PRODEXPO 2014) on Monday, Development Minister Nikos Dendias announced that the Government has requested a real estate property “road-map” from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
More specifically, Mr. Dendias said that the OECD has been asked to prepare a comprehensive model for the exploitation of Greek real estate property over a period of more than 10 years.
The Development Minister underlined that “without a transparent and clear framework for real estate property the country will not be able to attract the investments it need.”
Mr. Dendias also noted that real estate has great potential to become a major developmental tool for Greece, adding that the country’s coastline is equal in size with Africa’s coastline and the sector can support dozens of professions and activities.
